We are Fundravers, a not-for-profit DJ duo with a shared commitment to inspiring positive change through our music.

 

Our eclectic musical backgrounds bring a unique dynamic to your venue. Though trained differently, together, we blend our diverse influences and technical knowledge to create high-energy DJ sets that entertain and engage.​ As such, we set out to combine our passion for music with our shared commitment to making a positive impact on the local community by never taking a profit. Instead of charging performance fees, donations on behalf of our name are encouraged.

 

While our DJ performances themselves are separate from our charitable efforts, we deeply appreciate the work of the Community Foundation of West Alabama, which independently manages a donor-advised fund supporting local nonprofits. For those looking to support a well-established charitable organization, the Community Foundation offers a reliable way to give.

 

As part of their structure, they suggest a $1,000 per donor contribution, allowing collective giving to make a meaningful impact over time. The foundation's goal is to maximize the money's impact while minimizing the donor's time commitment. As such, the fund follows a straightforward process: donors suggest nonprofit organizations to support, and later, vote on which organization should receive the aggregated funds. Each donor has one vote, regardless of donation size, ensuring fairness in the decision-making process. Chiefly, to ensure donations make a meaningful difference locally, the foundation prioritizes supporting small, community-based nonprofits over globally managed ones.

 

To ensure transparency, the Community Foundation of West Alabama is responsible for vetting and distributing funds, allowing donors to feel secure in their contribution. Fundravers has no financial interest in this fund, nor do we benefit in any way — we simply admire the foundation’s mission and want to inspire those interested in philanthropy to learn more about our passion.

​All donations to the Community Foundation of West Alabama are tax-deductible, and donors can contribute cash or appreciating securities, though other giving options do exist.
