Our StoryIt started with a yes.
Bama Fundravers started with a question nobody expected to matter. While helping plan a cover fundraiser for a student club, founder Zach Goldman asked a venue manager whether he and a friend — who had only recently taught themselves to DJ — could fill an empty entertainment slot. The manager said yes. The venue hit capacity in thirty minutes. They raised over $2,000 in four hours.
They left that night with one idea: this could be a system.
What turned a good night into a real mission happened a few months later. After Fundravers helped fund tuition for Arts 'n Autism's new preschool program in Tuscaloosa, Zach visited the facility and met one of the kids whose enrollment they'd helped cover. Standing in that classroom, Fundravers stopped feeling like a student project — it felt like proof that time invested can become something tangible for someone who never knew you were involved.
Since January 2025, Bama Fundravers has grown into a registered nonprofit with a ten-member board, four resident DJs, and a presence at three universities — raising over $110,000 for more than twenty organizations on just 10% overhead.
We partner with venues to host high-energy, music-driven events. During a set window, cover charges go directly to the cause. No salaries, no cuts — every dollar supports the mission.
Bring the cause — we bring the DJs, production, crowd-building, and energy. If you have a mission, we'll make it happen.
Full financial breakdowns posted bi-annually. 90 cents of every dollar reaches the cause directly.
